VOICES OF THE FIELD (HIV/AIDS MINISTRY)
Mission Statement:
Established in February 2008, our mission is to empower, educate and promote HIV prevention through non-judgmental and confidential activities and events, in order to dispel the stigma that surrounds HIV/AIDS.
Vision Statement:
Open Minds, Open Hearts and Willing Spirits and the scripture to support the ministry is: “So the last will be first, and the first last. For many are called, but few chosen”. Matthew 20:16
Ministerial Activities:
Voices from the Field conducts workshops and hosts events within the church, including:
- HIV/AIDS 101
- Women and HIV/AIDS
- Stigma
- Risk Reduction and Prevention
- Faith- Based Sexuality Education Courses
- Ministering to the congregation through song, dance and worship
